Named for Oliva’s family patriarch, Gilberto Oliva Reserva Blanc honors the brand’s legacy with a rich combination of premium handcrafted long-filler tobaccos from Ecuador and Nicaragua cradled by a silky Ecuador Connecticut wrapper leaf. The medium-bodied profile is patiently hand-rolled in Nicaragua to furnish elegant notes of toasted almonds, cashews and buttery spices with a creamy and pleasant room note. Being a big fan of Oliva Serie V Melanio, I tried a 5-pack of these because of the wrapper. I immediately thought this is really close to a Padron Damaso which is another of my favorites. Smooth draw, stayed lit, burned evenly, nice easy nutty cigar for around $7.00 a stick! What a great find, so I just received my box of 20 and am excited to fire one up today to verify it wasn't the Blantons making my decision… I did give one to a friend last night and he was very impressed and bought a box so It wasn’t the whiskey. Definitely try these!
11/30/2024 - Rico M. from Gold River, CAGreat cigar at a great price and timely delivery.
01/22/2024 - Mark K. from Olyphant, PATried the Reserva Blanc Robusto due to sale price. Burns well, but I like the Reserva (red label) better. Reserva Blanc was a little rougher taste for me.
08/31/2023 - Hermanator D. from Morrison, COI gave it a 5 stars because it burned evenly, no relighting needed and mild to medium which suits me fine. The wrapper did come apart at the cap after the cut. Partly my fault because I had them shipped UPS in July to Texas. Those trucks are as hot as the weather. 101 when they arrived. Will humidify for several weeks and see what happens with the wrapper. Still will buy again if they are on sale.
07/18/2023 - James A. from Groveton, TXBought them by mistake. They are just ok. I like Oliva Churchills a lot better.
01/24/2023 - Jim S. from Clinton Township, MIFirst time enjoying the Gilberto, and I must say it is a wonderful early golf round cigar. It's always best to work up to a stronger cigar like a Maduro, but I found this cigar very flavorful with a good burn and draw.. Kudos to Oliva for another winner.
10/05/2022 - Paul H. from Azusa, CANice and mild!
06/06/2022 - Gary M. from Warwick, RIGreat smoke for a great price. Up until I bought the cigars I was buying cheaper cigars and realized you get what you pay for. These cigars may cost a little bit more than what I was buying before but the taste and the smoke is far better. I will continue to buy the cigars... try them - you’ll like them!
04/19/2022 - Ed W. from Philadelphia, PAReally not a bad smoke for the price. I would even go so far as to say that it punches above its weight, given the price point. It is a good, every day cigar, smooth and light, a good, even burn. Taste delivers a slight earthy tone, and a hint of wood.
04/17/2022 - Bill G. from West Allis, WII always enjoy the cigars and the service from Holt's!
04/15/2022 - Ken M. from Philadelphia, PA
