I noticed 3 great things when I first picked up this lighter. 1. It had great weight and a large base, it’s not falling over when somebody kicks a table or wind blows outside. 2. The rubber housing or coating is a perfect texture, very non-slip. Not sure if it’ll easily scratch or not. The decal is lifted so I’m pretty sure it’ll eventually wear off due to hand oils and rubbing. 3. The size is great in my hand but I really wouldn’t consider this a table top lighter. I absolutely love the side flip cap which strikes and lights the unit instantly. The solid audible “click” is very satisfying when lighting and just as solid “snap” when released. Very nice and even triple burn. Bright blue flame which comes to a great point. Very quality piece but I would love to see a larger one as a true tabletop lighter.

I’ve dropped it and hit the logo by accident, and it’s held up really well. The only reason for 4-stars versus five is a small butane chamber. Three to four ordinary-sized sticks that don’t burn well and require touch-ups, and you might need to re-charge it. But it’s an awesome match for the Perdomo ashtray that Holt’s also sells. The pair looks great atop my Perdomo-only humidor, which I bought because Nick Perdomo recommends a lower relative humidity for his cigars than most do, of 65%. Do that, and your sticks WON’T need relights or many touch-ups, and your lighter won’t need recharging as often.

That said, this lighter really makes a nice tight flame point that allows nice placement on the end of my stick. The con I have noticed is IMHO the metal they used on the adjuster screw on the bottom seems a bit soft so be careful adjusting the flame or you'll mark up the screw head. A really nice light. 5 Stars considering the price. 4 if I had shelled out the cash.
