Menelik

Menelik cigars are blended and handcrafted in Nicaragua for Foundation Cigars brand founder Nick Melillo. The Menelik series is an annual limited release available in a handful of traditional sizes. A dark and decadent San Andrés wrapper covers a Nicaraguan blend drawn from a Corojo-seed binder, grown in Jalapa, and long-fillers cultivated in Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa. Tasting notes of earth, nuts, and pepper mingle over a dense undercurrent of leather and espresso before a full-bodied finish layers the palate. Menelik cigars are named for the first emperor of Ethiopia, Menelik I, who is the son of King Solomon and Makeda, the Queen of Sheba. Nick Melillo draws on historical, biblical themes for the inspiration behind several of his cigars.
