Crowned Heads founder Jon Huber unveils his annual small-batch release, La Calaveras Edicion Limitada 2018. The brand is inspired by La Calavera Catrina, a zinc etching by José Guadalupe Posada which now symbolizes Mexico’s Day of the Dead holiday. The medium to full-bodied blend is handcrafted in three classic formats in Estelí, Nicaragua. A dark and toothy San Andrés wrapper leaf hugs a recipe of all-Nicaraguan long-fillers grown by the Garcia family. Notes of earth, leather, nuts, wood, and spices emerge in a satisfying finish in true boutique fashion.
