Peterson Hallmark
Ireland’s leading pipe manufacturer, Peterson, enjoys a reputation that spans well over a century and a half. The brand also released a small batch of handcrafted cigars a few years back. Peterson Hallmark is composed of long filler tobaccos from Ecuador and the Dominican Republic beneath your choice of a Connecticut Shade or a San Andrés wrapper. Handcrafted in the Dominican Republic, a mild to medium-bodied profile of toasted almonds, leather, cayenne and maple furnishes approachable spices which invites a luscious aroma with a smooth finish.

Bought a box, first one out the box was so dense that incredible pressure had to be used with a titanium skewer to go through the cigar trying to create an air passage, still has horrible draw. Needless to say these are un-smokable.

04/19/2020 - Richard M. from Norfolk, VAUsually smoke Ashtons or Fuentes but thought I would try these based on appearance, rating and price. Don't waste your time as these do not draw well and fail to stay lit.
08/06/2017 - Bob D. from Princeton, NJ, NJWell-constructed, nice even burn with a decent draw. A bit more lightweight than described (mild - medium) and a tad shorter (4.5" actual vs. 4.75"). Also, it seems more like an EMS wrapper than Maduro, but I suspect since this is an Irish brand, any reference to "English" would not be good for their marketing. Next time I'll try the Gran Reserve for a little more body. Nice cigar.
03/22/2017 - Capt. Willy W. from Aztec, NMThis is a great cigar. Well made and very good flavor.
11/14/2016 - Bill K. from TXI picked up a box of the maduro Churchill not to long ago here from Holts to give them a try. I remember my grandfather smoking Peterson pipe tobacco 35 years ago. I thought to myself well as long as these aren't those darn pipe tobacco cigars they might be worth a shot. Well I get them, crack the box open, and take a look. The cigar is beautifully constructed, you can feel the oils in the wrapper itself. The smell is amazing. This is a highly overlooked and under rated cigar that is a must have for the true maduro lover like myself. Treat yourself to a box of these beauties, you deserve it.
