Olmec Maduro

Foundation Cigars brand founder Nick Melillo debuted Olmec Maduro in 2022. The Olmec line pays tribute to the ancient Mesoamerican people who inhabited the region in Mexico where the cigar’s dark and oily San Andrés wrapper is cultivated. Beneath the wrapper leaf, a vibrant interior of well-aged Nicaraguan long-fillers from Estelí and Jalapa is handcrafted in a handful of popular sizes. Tasting notes of espresso bean, cocoa, leather, and earth reveal sweet and spicy nuances before a medium to full-bodied finish. Because the tobaccos are fermented slowly at lower temperatures, their naturally flavorful oils are preserved, imparting complexity and smoothness. Olmec Maduro cigars are handmade at the AJ Fernandez factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.
