Charter Oak Connecticut
Charter Oak Connecticut from Foundation Cigar Company is blended from a golden-blond Ecuador Connecticut wrapper leaf over a complex recipe of Nicaraguan long-fillers from Estelí and Jalapa. Brand founder Nick Melillo named Charter Oak for a historic tree, which stood from the 12th century until the 1850s, where Native Americans would gather in what today is Hartford, Connecticut. Tasting notes of cedar, balsa wood, cashew, and vanilla bean mingle with hints of alfalfa and pepper in a chewy value-priced smoke you can add to your regular rotation without breaking the bank. The critics in Cigar Aficionado rated Charter Oak Connecticut 93 points back in 2018.
