Coffee-Infused Cigars

Coffee-infused cigars are the most appealing of all flavored cigars because coffee and cigars taste great together. Coffee is a natural tasting note you’ll encounter in many non-flavored cigars, but coffee-infused cigars are artificially sweet. Even folks who aren’t fond of flavored cigars enjoy an occasional coffee-infused smoke.

Coffee-flavored cigars also produce a more agreeable aroma than cigars that are infused with, say, grape or cherry flavors, which most premium cigar lovers find nauseating. We’ll never argue with the purists who proclaim it’s best to pair a non-flavored premium cigar with a good cup of coffee versus smoking a cigar that tastes like coffee. However, if you’re a coffee lover who’s craving something sweet, we’re happy to point out a few coffee-infused cigars to get you through your day.

Nub Nuance Cappuccino (Single Roast)

A few years back, the Nub brand, known for its short fat sizes, debuted a coffee-infused collection called Nub Nuance. There are three unique blends available and Nub Nuance Cappuccino, also called Single Roast, is drafted from a consistent core of long-fillers tucked under an oily Ecuador Connecticut wrapper in a trio of sizes. Tasting notes of coffee, cedar, and cocoa accompany hints of vanilla after the cigar’s sugary wrapper coats your lips.

Nub Nuance Espresso (Triple Roast)

Nub Nuance Espresso, or Triple Roast, perks up the palate with notes of dark cocoa and espresso bean before a long and toasty finish arrives. This slightly stiffer espresso-infused cigar still possesses plenty of sweetness for your taste buds. A seamless Sumatra wrapper conceals a cloying blend of well-assembled long-fillers.

Nub Nuance Macchiato (Double Roast)

Tasting notes of caramel, milk chocolate, and coffee bean layer the palate in every puff of Nub Nuance Macchiato (Double Roast). An oily Sumatra leaf surrounds a handmade blend of long-fillers in four different formats. Novices love Nub Nuance because the sizes are smaller, and the flavors culminate in a sweet finish.

Tabak Especial Negra by Drew Estate

Fans of the popular coffee-infused Java cigars, made for Rocky Patel, have largely gravitated to Tabak Especial by Drew Estate. Drew Estate actually produces both brands in Estel, Nicaragua, and the main difference between them is the shapes they’re rolled in. Java cigars are box-pressed, while Tabak Especial cigars are rolled in traditional round vitolas. The wrapper leaf stops short of the foot of the cigar on Tabak Especial, too, leaving some of the interior tobaccos exposed. Tabak Especial Negra is closest to the classic brown label Java blend. A Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper conceals a blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers in a sweet profile of mocha, coffee bean, and dark chocolate notes.

Tabak Especial Dulce by Drew Estate

If you’re a fan of Java Latte from Rocky Patel, Tabak Especial Dulce delivers a comparable profile of caramel, vanilla, cocoa, and coffee bean notes you’ll savor equally. A light-tan Ecuador Connecticut wrapper is drawn over an easy-burning blend of Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. The finish is sugary and creamy.

Isla del Sol by Drew Estate

Isla del Sol by Drew Estate is a flavored Cuban-sandwich cigar, meaning it’s comprised of both long and short-filler tobaccos on the inside, and it’s less expensive as a result. Each cigar is finished in an oily Sumatra wrapper leaf. Isla del Sol boasts aromatic coffee bean flavors with a hint of mocha in a collection of traditional sizes. Like Drew Estate’s popular Acid cigars, Isla del Sol cigars are packed on a bed of loose tobacco inside the box.
